DOING BUSINESS AS —- REMINDER NOTICE

Did you know California Law requires 4 weeks of legal publication for your filing?

California Business and Professions Code Section 17917 requires all new DBA business filings, amended DBA business filings, abandonments/ business closures, and withdrawals from partnerships be “published in a local court approved adjudicated newspaper” once a week for a total of 4 weeks.

THE LAW MAKES THIS 4 WEEK PUBLICATION MANDATORY.

WHAT IS USEZDOCUMENTS?

A LEGAL PUBLICATION REQUIRED TO SATISFY THE GOVERNING LAW AND PROVIDE PUBLIC NOTICE.

The Publication must begin with 30 calendar days from the filing date.  Calendar days includes all holidays and weekends.  All newspapers have editorial deadlines and we recommend that you place your request early (at least 5 days before expiration). Late requests will be denied.

Failure to publish will result in the expiration of your filing and you will be in non-compliance of California Law (Cal. Bus & Prof. Code Section 17917)

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ARRNGED FOR PUBLICATION, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS NOTICE.

AMERICAN BUSINESS DIRECTORY is a legal publishing company. All of our newspapers are adjudicated by the Los Angeles Superior Court as a newspaper of general circulation and authorized to publish legal notices.

COST:

$38.00 PLUS $2.00 per additional business name or additional owner

(example: $4000 for 2 business names, $42.00 for 3 business names, etc).  The publication fee is $9.50 per week, $38.00 total. The $2.00 per additional business name only applies to additional names filed with the same document number.  Separate filings do not qualify as additional business names.

HOW IT WORKS

After placing your request, we will issue you a Notice of Publication and will file an Affidavit/Proof of Publication with the  Los Angeles County Clerk to certify that you have fulfilled the publication requirement.

OPTION 1 – ONLINE

To process your legal publication online please visit  http://thecityofpacoima.com  and click the claim my listing or “publication only” link. Simply enter  your filing number, search/locate your record, and process online.  Your filing number is imprinted on the outside of the envelope this letter came in.

OPTION 2 – IN PERSON

To process your legal publication in person visit our home office: 11284 Woodcock Ave, Pacoima, CA 91331. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays 123:00 pm to 3:00 pm

OPTION 3 –  BY PHONE

TO PROCESS YOUR PUBLICATION BY PHPNE, CALL US AT 213-814-2883 or 747-2250255. The phone lines are open Monday- Friday 9:00 – 6:00 pm, and on Saturdays 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

OPTION 4

Mail a copy of your document and a check for $38:00 (plus $2:00 for additional names) payable to USexDocuments. Mail to USezDocuments, 11284 Woodcock Ave, Pacoima, CA 91331. Please write your phone number and email address on your check.
